A BIT ABOUT MEHDI ISA GARRETT ARATHOON

I graduated with a Psychology Specialist degree from the University of Toronto. Initially, I wanted to pursue a career in medicine but after taking a course in Social Psychology, I became greatly intrigued with the field. Eventually, I went on to volunteer in various labs and wrote my thesis paper on the topic of musical exposure, repetition, and tonality. However, the research topics I am mostly interested in include: social motivation, post-transgression responses (i.e., forgiveness, revenge, grudge), transgression target (i.e., victim or self), culture, power, and romantic relationships.

This summer, I have taken a few graduate courses and am in the process of developing a research project with my Supervisor Dr. Ward Struthers. The title of my project is: The Interrelation Among Culture and Victims' Post-Transgression Responses.

In terms of hobbies, I enjoy playing sports (e.g., soccer, basketball), exercising, hiking, listening to music, and learning about psychology research.
